Open Doors

Every Wednesday 10:30 am to 12 pm

Open Doors supports persecuted Christians with Bibles, Christian materials, training, livelihood skills, advocacy - and in a whole host of other ways - so that they know they are not forgotten and can stand strong to serve their communities. So that they can give life.

We also seek to mobilise the church in the UK & Ireland not only to serve Christians living under religious persecution but also to learn from them what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

Open Doors prayer meetings

Manchester House of Prayer use the WCC venue to host various sessions.

Manchester House of Prayer

Join them every Monday night as they exalt Jesus and seek His will for this city and nation.

The Monday night schedule is:

4-5 PM - FAMILY PRAYER WATCH

The Family Prayer watch is a new addition to the MHOP schedule.  It is a time for both children and parents to engage with God in worship and prayer together.

The Family Prayer watch is open for anyone to attend and runs from 4-5 pm.  You can stay for as little or long as you like and you're very welcome to stay for the Community Meal and beyond into the devotional.

5-6 PM - COMMUNITY MEAL

Join MHOP from 5-6 pm for a meal together.   The community meal is open for anyone to come to, whether you've been at the family prayer watch or you're coming to the devotional.  The meal is free but you're welcome to make a contribution if you want.

6-8 PM - DEVOTIONAL

The devotional meetings are designed to create space for you to engage with God through worship and personal devotions and study.  The worship team will lead with a mixture of known worship songs, spontaneous choruses and prophetic singing and music which creates an atmosphere in which engaging with the Holy Spirit is enjoyable and easy.  How you engage is up to you; spend the time in worship, do your own private Bible study or devotional time or pray through your prayer lists.

8-10 PM - PRAYER WATCH

The prayer watch is a combination of worship and prayer.  With lead worship throughout, MHOP will exalt Jesus, seek His heart and intercede for His mighty right hand to move in this city, nation and the world.

Each meeting will have a different prayer focus, but often prayer is for topics such as the church in Manchester, revival and different justice issues.
